TRIPLE PLAY FOR ZERBIN

VICTORIA, BC – Team NPP’s Lane Zerbin is inching closer to 100-starts in an IMCA Modified race car.  The Victoria, British Columbia driver will race at three different tracks over three consecutive nights the first week of July to bring his start total to 93 races.  “I’ve done three-day shows before but I think this is a first.”  After spending much of the Canada Day holiday (July 1st) on the road, Zerbin and his father (Ted) will unload the Northern Provincial Pipelines/Alien Race Car #81 Modified at Cottage Grove Speedway in Oregon.

“We’ve had some decent runs there (Cottage Grove). But we also had the biggest highlight crash there too. If we can get out of there in one piece that will be good.” Zerbin registered back to back top-10 finishes in his most recent appearances at Cottage Grove Speedway on July 4th and 5th in 2024. Zerbin was also involved in a fiery crash that ended his race season back on June 22nd, 2022. It’s been almost a decade since Zerbin made his Cottage Grove Speedway debut. Back on July 4th, 2016 he finished 11th.

ZERBIN HAS COMPETED JUST SIX TIMES AT COTTAGE GROVE

After the Cottage Grove race Zerbin will head four hours north for a Friday night race under the lights at Grays Harbor Raceway. Zerbin has 50-appearances at the Elma, Washington track registering 28 Top-10’s and 4 wins. His last trip to victory lane at Grays Harbor Raceway was September 3rd, 2018.

ZERBIN FINISHED 6TH IN HIS LAST APPEARANCE AT SKAGIT SPEEDWAY

The three-night, three-track road trip concludes on July 4th at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington. Despite being geographically closer to home, Zerbin has only competed at Skagit Speedway a total of 12-times. Three of those appearances have come in 2026. Zerbin drove to a 6th place finish in his most recent appearance back on May 9th. For Zerbin the goal is simple for the three tracks he’ll be competing at the first few days of July. “Keep the car in one piece. Grabbing a win (at one of the tracks) would be ideal.” He does feel he’s due for a trip to victory lane soon. “I do think that at Elma and Skagit we could be fighting for a win there.”
