SUPER IN SASKATCHEWAN

LEDUC, AB – Three-time Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series Champion Trevor Emond claimed another championship winning the inaugural season of the Dakota Dunes Pavement Super Late Model Series in the province of Saskatchewan earlier this month. Emond clinched the title after driving his Hitchworks #17 Chevrolet to victory at Auto Clearing Speedway in Saskatoon on Saturday, September 18th. This is Emonds sixth season championship in the past 10 seasons. “It was a really good year,” says the Leduc Alberta driver, “there was some good competition against drivers I’ve been racing against on the pavement for the last 15 years or so.”

In 2010, Emond divided his time running the NPP Late Model Series ‘dirt’ schedule and the Dakota Dunes ‘pavement’ schedule. “Making the top 10 in the NPP Series would have been nice to go along with the championship but both series had their last race of the season on the same night.” Emond finished 11th in the 2010 NPP Late Model Series Championship points chase.
