SEASON OPENER POSTPONED

EDMONTON, AB. – Race teams with the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series will have to wait one more week before they get to go racing again. Below normal temperatures and excessive moisture from Tuesdays massive snow storm have forced Castrol Raceway officials to postpone the 2010 season opener to Saturday, May 15th.

“It doesn’t surprise me one bit,” says NPP Series announcer Gord Craig, “there were two foot snow drifts at the track after the storm. Right now there is a bit of a lake on the front straight and the pits are a muddy mess.”
