SCHEDULE SHUFFLE

VICTORIA, BC – A 10th consecutive visit to “The Bullring” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is not in the cards this year for Team NPP.  Darrell Midgley had planned on competing in Nevada at the annual Senators Cup on October 19th and 20th however scheduling conflicts by key crew members forced an alteration of plans.  “We are not going to Las Vegas this year,” says the Sidney, British Columbia driver, “however we will be on the track a week later in Tucson.”  Midgley has been testing the Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd./Alien Race Cars #81 Dodge at his home track in Victoria in preparation for his fall and winter schedule.  “We tested for two days at Western Speedway earlier this month.  The weather is looking good so we hope to be on the track testing again this weekend.”

TEAM NPP TO SPEND MORE TIME IN TUCSON THIS WINTER

A brand new Team NPP Super Late Model was debuted by Midgley in Las Vegas last year.  “We’re getting a handle on this new car,” admits the veteran pavement racer, “we’ve had some good runs with it.”  Since the Las Vegas debut, Midgley has recorded three top-10 finishes in his last six starts in the brand new car.  Two of the top-10 finishes were in Arizona.  “We are going to focus on events at Tucson Speedway (this fall and winter),” admits Midgley, “we have a test date in Tucson on October 26th and then on the track (for a race) the next night.”  Midgley and Team NPP will then compete in the 4th annual Turkey Shoot Super Late Model Race on November 23rd and 24th.  The Team NPP hauler will be stored down in Arizona for the winter.
