SASKATCHEWAN RACE FANS WINS CITY FURNITURE/NPP GRAND PRIZE

EDMONTON, AB. (October 9) – The $100,000 Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series visited a record 6 race tracks in 2006.  New this season and a first for the ‘tour’ was the official NPP Souvenir program.  This 24 page, full color program, was sold at every racetrack the tour visited.  Inside the program were articles about the tour, race statistics and many opportunities to win some great prizes.  Thousands of race fans entered their names for the NPP Mystery draws.  Young race fans entered their names for an opportunity to be named the NPP Jr. Crew Chief.  In Edmonton, the grand prize draw for a 3 piece leather couch, loveseat and chair was made at City Furniture (St. Albert Trail/134th Street).  The owner of City Furniture and the daughter of NPP Tour announcer Gord Craig made the draw right in the showroom.  “It was great being associated with the Late Model tour,” says Brian Saipe, “let’s do this again next year.”  One name was drawn from the thousands of entry forms received from race fans who attended a 2006 NPP Late Model Series event.  “The grand prize winner of the furniture package,” proudly announced Saipe, “is Wes Oman of Swift Current, Saskatchewan.”  The Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series made their inaugural trek to Speedy Creek Raceway in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on August 5th and 6th.  When contacted about his City Furniture grand prize victory Wes Oman was thrilled. “Thank-you very much City Furniture.  I attended both nights of racing (at Speedy Creek)”, says Oman, “you guy’s (NPP Series) put on a great show.  I’m already looking forward to next years visit.”  Congratulations to all NPP program winners this season.  Planning has already begun for 2007 Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series tour.
