OPEN DURING RENOVATIONS

EDSON, AB – In just a few short months the npp-racing.com website celebrates its 12th birthday.  Originally created for the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series, the website has seen its focus expand to include information on Team NPP which competes at select race events in the United States.  Since the official launch on May 1st, 2007, only subtle cosmetic changes have been made to the website.  “The layout of our website has basically been the same since 2009,” explains NPP Series announcer Gord Craig, “it has worked extremely well at getting out information to our race fans and our drivers.”  The npp-racing.com website saw 50,790 visitors in 2018.

“The website is our business card when we are not at the track.”  Although the basic appearance of the website hasn’t changed in a decade, there have been dramatic changes in technology behind the scenes.  “The website program we are using is now over 15 years old,” admits Craig, “we’ve had tremendous success with the current website but it’s now time to modernize and update.”

Craig says visitors to the npp-racing.com website will witness some of the construction first-hand.  “The switch to the new site will happen in late February, early March but I don’t have an exact date just yet.”  More than 275 pages of content make up the current npp-racing.com website.  “I’m not expecting any access problems during the update.  The NPP website will be open during renovations.” Darrell Midgley and Team NPP kick off the 2019 season at the annual Chilly Willy Super Late Model race at Arizona’s Tucson Speedway January 24th – 26th.
