NPP TRIPLE PLAY WEEKEND

EDMONTON, AB – Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd. will by flying the flag at three different race tracks this weekend.  This is the first time in company history that a trio of NPP sponsored race cars will be competing at three tracks on the same weekend.  Wade Fleming will be driving the NPP/Boychuck Ventures #7 Sprint Car on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, Montana.  Jason Frost pilots the NPP/The Keg Steakhouse #81 Late Model at Western Speedway in Victoria, BC on Saturday and Sunday night.  Lane Zerbin drives the NPP/C-Force Marine #81 Modified at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington on Sunday night.

FLEMING COMPETES IN THE USA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 10 YEARS

Running three consecutive race nights in Montana doesn’t concern Wade Fleming. “I’ve raced in Great Falls, Montana probably 30 times”, exclaims the Ardrossan, Alberta driver, “we’ve won a few races there too.”  Fleming retired from the sport of Sprint Car racing in 2009 to spend more time with his family.  He returned to the sport this season.  It’s been exactly 10 years since Fleming competed in the United States (August 31, 2008 – Skagit Speedway, Alger, Washington).  Fleming is coming off an 8th place finish at the 2018 Gold Cup race at Castrol Raceway on August 18th. The 25th running of the NSA Montana Shootout runs August 31st – September 2nd.

FROST GOES RACING IN TEAM NPP LATE MODEL

Jason Frost competes on the paved oval track of Western Speedway this long holiday weekend. The Victoria, British Columbia track is hosting the Reg Midgley Memorial/Shockwave Seats Canada 200 race on September 1st and 2nd.  Frost quietly brought the Team NPP Late Model out of mothballs this season and has an average finish of 5.75 in 8 race events this season.  Frost made his official debut in the NPP Alien Race Cars #81 Super Late Model at the 2016 Chilly Willy event in Tucson, Arizona. The Victoria, BC driver finished 30th.

ZERBIN FINISHED 6th LAST WEEKEND AT GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY

For the second consecutive weekend Lane Zerbin will be in action at Grays Harbor Raceway.  Last weekend, the Victoria, British Columbia driver finished 6th in the Team NPP #81 Modified.  “We kinda messed up,” admits Zerbin, “the car was decent.  We just missed it on the gearing.  We were on the chip all the way around track.”  Last year Zerbin wrapped up his 2017 season with a Feature win at Grays Harbor Raceway.  He’d like to do the same with a win this weekend.  “We might take a few more chances on passing people because we don’t have to see them until next year.” Zerbin has four top-10 finishes at GHR in 2018.  His best finish was a second back on July 21st.
