NPP SERIES ANNOUNCER GOES TRACTOR PULLING

EDMONTON, AB  – Veteran Alberta motorsports announcer Gord Craig will be flying the rookie flags off his microphone this weekend in Darwell, Alberta.  The Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series announcer and media relations director will be calling his first ever tractor pull event.  “I’m closing in on 600 total race events announced since 1992,” adds Craig, “I have called oval races, drag races, monster trucks, demolition derbies and even mud bogs but never have I announced a tractor pull.”  The event is the 13th annual Darwell Ag Drags, one of the biggest tractor pulls in all of Western Canada.  “Last year they apparently set an attendance record of close to 5,500 spectators.”  The event is sanctioned by the Alberta Tractor Pullers Association.  “I’ve seen tractor pulls on television before but never first hand so I am really looking forward to this weekend.”  The official pace car of the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series will also be on display in Darwell this weekend.
