The same weather system which brought rain to the Edmonton region also dumped precipitation an hour and a half away in Rimbey. The excessive amount of rain has forced track officials at Central Alberta Raceway’s to cancel race action scheduled for Saturday (June 6th) afternoon. This is the first time in the nine year history of NPP Late Model Series that back to back race events at two tracks have been lost due to inclement weather.

Next race action for the NPP Late Model Series will be on Friday and Saturday, June 19th and 20th. Edmontons Castrol Raceway will host the NPP Series on Friday night. Rocky Mountain Raceway Park just south of Okotoks hosts the Alberta based racing series on Saturday night.
