MODIFIED MUSINGS

VICTORIA, BC – Lane Zerbin is looking at the calendar and is realizing that the 2018 race season will soon be over.  Over the next two weekends Grays Harbor Raceway will see consecutive visits from the Team NPP #81 Modified.  “Looks like this weekend and then the Sunday, September 2nd race in Elma and that will probably be it for the year.”  The Victoria, British Columbia driver has had a limited season behind the wheel of the Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd./C-Force Marine #81 Modified.  With just 5 starts in 2018, the 22-year old has recorded three top 10 finishes, two of which were podium finishes.

ZERBIN FINISHED 2ND AT GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY ON JULY 21st

“We’ve had some pretty good runs this year for sure,” adds Zerbin, “it would be nice to try to get two wins in the last two races.”  A win, or two is not out of the question.  Zerbin did wrap up the 2017 season with a Feature win at Grays Harbor Raceway.  “It seems that we just start getting our momentum going and then the season comes to an end.”  Looking ahead, Zerbin would love to extend his race season into the winter months.  “If we got some sponsorship money to help us out, I’d love to go down and race some events in Arizona.  They have a speed week down there for Modifieds in February that is run at several tracks.”  The focus meanwhile remains on Washington the next two weekends.  Three of Zerbins’s four Modified Feature wins have taken place at Gray Harbor Raceway.
