MODIFIED MASHUP

ELMA, WA – Lanes Zerbin’s on-track appearance at Grays Harbor Raceway was extremely brief Saturday night.  The Victoria, British Columbia driver was involved in a four-car incident on lap 4 of the Feature event.  Zerbin was running 9th (started 11th) when a car got turned in front of him in the middle of turn three and four.  Slowing to avoid this spin, Zerbin was then struck by two cars which pushed him into the spinning car.  The damage to the right side of Zerbins Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd./Alien Race Cars #81 Modified was more than just cosmetic. “We bent a front spindle,” sighs Zerbin, “it was definitely not the night we wanted.”

Zerbin was debuting a brand new Team NPP Modified. “We were one of the fastest cars in hot laps,” exclaims Zerbin, “but the fastest doesn’t always win. We will try again in two weeks.” Zerbin, who was credited with a 16th place finish, returns to Grays Harbor Raceway on Saturday, July 21st hoping for a better result.
