CALIFORNIA CALLING AGAIN

IRWINDALE, CA – Coming off a strong 13th place finish at Kern County Raceway last month, Darrell Midgley and the Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd. race team are back in California once again. Irwindale Speedway hosts the 2015 Spring Classic this weekend. “We are going to be running the same car we raced at Bakersfield,” says the Sidney, British Columbia driver, “sure hope to have the same success with it.” Midgley has already set his bar for the weekend. “Unlike Bakersfield where we had hoped to just get into the big race [finished 13th], the goal this weekend is to be at least in the top-10 here [Irwindale Speedway]. It’s going to be tough as this is only the second time I’ve run here.”

Midgley last competed at Irwindale Speedway in October of 2007. Finishing 11th in the Last Chance race, Midgley did not transfer to the Feature event of the All-Star Showdown which was won by current NASCAR competitor Joey Logano. “Darrell, Glen and Gord [my crew] are ready. Time to go have some fun.” Irwindale Speedway is a 1/2 mile paved oval track located about 25 minutes from downtown Los Angeles.
