AIMED HIGHER IN ARIZONA

TUCSON, AZ – Darrell Midgley and Team NPP finished sixth at Tucson Speedway Saturday night. The strong finish comes exactly one week after failing to make the big race on “The Bullring” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. On Friday, Midgley was one of the fastest cars in practice. Saturday afternoon, the Sidney, British Columbia driver qualified third. “We are pointed in the right direction,” says Midgley, “we really had only one way to go after last weeks showing (in Las Vegas).” For a majority of the Saturday night Feature, Midgley ran the Northern Provinical Pipelines Ltd./Alien Chassis #81 Dodge in the top 5.

“The car had some speed tonight. We just need a little more longevity on the track.” Midgley ran as high as third on two separate occasions early in the Feature. “The car got a little tight towards the end of the race.” Midgley fell out of the top 5 with just 15 laps to to go. “We’ll take the sixth place finish. The car is in one piece. I know we’ll be a lot better next time.” That ‘next time’ is less than one month away. Midgley and Team NPP are back at Tucson Speedway for the 3rd annual Turkey Shoot 125 on Saturday, November 25th.
