2007 COUNTDOWN TO GREEN – #81 KENNEDY

EDMONTON, AB – The Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series celebrates its 7th season in 2007.  A record 21 races are scheduled for 6 Alberta race tracks this season. Over the next few weeks a look at select N.P.P. Late Model Series drivers and how they are preparing for the chase for the NPP Series Championship and the prize money that goes with it.

SEASON PREVIEW: #81 DWIGHT KENNEDY
EDSON, AB – “There will be a lot of pressure on me to repeat in 2007,” smiles the 2006 N.P.P. champion, “I know there are a few teams who will be gunning for the #81 Dodge but I’ll be ready.” The 2006 season was Kennedy’s best showing on the track since he last won the championship in 2001. Kennedy picked up Feature wins at four of the six racetracks the series visited in 2006. “Sweeping the Canada Day long weekend (Oilmens) race was definitely a highlight for me. Winning down in Lethbridge was huge too because we’ve never raced at that track before.” Kennedy ended the season with 6 Feature wins. “We have a 21 race schedule this year. I sure hope we can match or even better last year’s performance.
