SEASON PREVIEW: #00 DAN SNOW
ST. ALBERT, AB
– Running for the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series Rookie of the Year honors in 2007 will be a driver who has plenty of experience behind the wheel of a racecar.  “I started racing in 1969,” exclaims Dan Snow, “I’ve raced bare bones stock cars, pavement Late Models, and most recently Cascar Street Stocks in Wetaskiwin.”  Despite his many years of experience, the 61 year old St. Albert, Alberta driver notes one thing missing from his racing resume.  “I have never raced on dirt.  Period.  I’ve got about 20,000 laps on the pavement in Race City…..I finished 8th in points on the pavement in Wetaskwin in 2005.  I do have lots of pavement racing experience but as far as racing on dirt tracks, not one lap.”  Snow spent much of 2006 building his NPP Late Model Stock Car by hand.  “Me and my 12 year old grandson (Clayton) have just over 200 hours on the new race car.  Its now ready to go.  My son Blair, who still races a pavement Late Model (NewAlta Series), will be helping me as well in the pits this year.  It’s going to be a real family race team.”  Weather and track conditions permitting, Snow will run his first lap around Castrol Raceways clay/dirt oval on Saturday April 28th during test ‘n’ tune 07.  “Sure can’t wait to get out there!”
