WEEKEND SHOW IN IDAHO

POST FALLS, ID – After a 10-year absence, Team NPP’s Darrell Midgley was back at Stateline Speedway competing in the Northwest Super Late Model Series 125 on Saturday night. Midgley’s last visit to the Post Falls, Idaho track was back in July of 2014 where he recorded a 10th place finish.  One decade later, the Sidney, British Columbia driver finished 13th. It was a great effort considering Midgley hadn’t been behind the wheel of the Northern Provincial Pipelines #81 Dodge since January 20th at Tucson Speedway (finished 9th).  Midgley started Saturday nights 125-lap Feature deep in the field after qualifying 18th.

“We knew we would struggle in qualifying,” admits Midgley, “we’ve got a crate motor in the car right now.”  Twenty cars took the green flag.  Midgley methodically made his way towards the front and did run as high as 8th.  “We were racing them pretty good.”  A late race caution bunched up the field.  On the restart, contact with another driver forced Midgley to pit.  “A guy just used me up and tore the side off the car. Got a flat tire out of the deal.”  Midgley returned to the track down 1-lap and crossed the finish line in 13th.  This was Midgley’s 12th start at Stateline Speedway dating back to 2004.  Team NPP congratulates, Quincy, Washington’s Kasey Kleyn, on Saturday nights win.
