EDMONTON, AB. – Despite several days of rainy weather, the forecast for Saturday’s Oval test ‘n’ tune at Castrol Raceway looks promising. Unless there is a major downpour of rain in the next 24 hours, the home track of the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series is swinging open its doors for the first time this weekend. Several NPP Series race teams (those that are ready) will be taking advantage of the pre-season test session to shake off the winter cobwebs. Competitors from a total of five racing divisions are expected to be at the track Saturday afternoon.

The 10th season of the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series begins May 8th at Castrol Raceway.
