SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT

EDMONTON, AB. – The Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series is pleased to announce that All Weather Windows returns as a major sponsor for 2012. Henry Banman, Sr. Vice President of All Weather Windows, is looking forward to the upcoming race season. “It is good to be back at the track with our name on the #35 car along with Habitat for Humanity Canada. Together we strive to win. The driver and crew race for the championship, one race at a time. All Weather relentlessly pursues customer satisfaction, one customer at a time. Habitat works with families to move them into decent homes, one family at a time.” All Weather Windows has been a major partner with Habitat for Humanity Canada since 2001.

Andrew Thornicroft, National Manager of Corporate Partnerships with Habitat for Humanity Canada, is intrigued with the idea of being involved with a race team this summer. “All Weather Windows has come up with some pretty original programs to help us in our mission to provide affordable housing. It’s another innovative way they’re helping spread the word about Habitat.” Thornicroft indicates that the NPP Late Model Series races in areas where Habitat for Humanity is hard at work. “Half of the Habitat homes built in Canada last year were constructed within British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta. There’s great support for our work throughout these provinces, but with almost 400,000 families there living in core housing need, there’s still much work to be done. Being able to spread the word farther and engage even more people and organizations in the work of Habitat is the only way we’ll be able to do this, so the added exposure is very important for us.”

BORYSKO EXCITED FOR 2012 NPP RACE SEASON WITH NEW SPONSOR

Darin Borysko will be driving the All Weather Windows/Habitat for Humanity Canada #35 Dodge this season. Borysko is involved in a Habitat for Humanity project in his home town of Edson, Alberta. “This is the largest Habitat for Humanity project in Canada outside of a major city.” The project had its official groundbreaking on September 10th, 2010 with 15 homes planned. “Everything is done with volunteer labor,” says Borysko, “I know there are several drivers and crew members that are pretty handy with a hammer and saw. There will be a little bit of arm twisting this year to get them out to help [at the construction site].” Borysko realizes he’s in a unique position this season. “Having seen what they do first hand and being able to take part in a home build, it truly is an honor that I will be representing both Habitat for Humanity Canada and All Weather Windows on the track this season.” Borysko finished third in the NPP Series Championship points chase last season. The 2012 season opener of the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series is Saturday, May 12th at Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway.
