EDSON, AB – Current road conditions and a snowy forecast forced Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series officials to cancel Wednesday nights ‘off-season’ meeting with race teams. Road crews are still clearing the more than 30 centimeters of snow which hammered much of the province of Alberta on the weekend.

With an additional 4 centimeters of light snow on Wednesday, road conditions quickly deteriorated throughout the day. Visibility was down to zero with blowing snow. Portions of the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 16) which weren’t snow covered were extremely slippery due to black ice. The NPP Series ‘off-season’ meeting will take place in one week’s time.
