Schuflada will pilot the Northern Provincial Pipelines/RCE #81 Dodge this Friday and Saturday night at Edmonton’s Rad Torque Raceway. The Edson, Alberta driver will then compete at Rimbey’s Central Alberta Raceway next Saturday and Sunday (August 17th & 18th). This is the first-time Shuflada races in back-to-back weekends. “Looking forward to giving it a go,” exclaims Shuflada, “hope to do well.” Shuflada has 3 wins in 4 starts this season. All his victories have come at Rocky Mountain Speedway in Valemount, British Columbia.
Shuflada will be competing in a race car with a storied history in Edmonton. Team NPP founder Dwight Kennedy had 25 trips to victory lane in the #81 Dodge. “We’re going to try and put it there again,” exclaims Shufada, “I know Dwight is coming to the races this weekend.” This is the only visit to Edmonton in 2024 from the Super Stock class. Upwards of 15-race teams are expected in the pits for this weekend’s race. “I know that Billy Kerns (Powell River, BC) and Brad Warner (Clearwater, BC) are coming. Those guys are tough.” Racing in Edmonton starts at 7:00pm on Friday and 6:00pm on Saturday.
