SEASON KICKOFF FOR SHUFLADA
EDSON, AB – Team NPP’s Josh Shuflada heads to Valemount, British Columbia this weekend for his first Super Stock race of 2025. Shuflada returns to Rocky Mountain Speedway not just as a competitor but the defending season champion. “I know there are a few drivers that say they are coming for the big trophy this year,” exclaims the Edson, Alberta driver, “we’re going to do our best to defend it.” Shuflada registered 5-Feature wins at Rocky Mountain Speedway in the Northern Provincial Pipelines #81 Dodge last season. Despite his successful track record in 2024, his approach to the first race of the new season will be toned down a bit.

“I feel way more confident this year but to tell you the honest truth I will probably be a little bit more cautious.” Shuflada says the Super Stock class at Rocky Mountain Speedway is growing. “There are new cars coming. I don’t want to get ahead of myself cause’ you never know how things are going to go.”

There are no major changes to Shuflada’s race car for the upcoming race season. “We just rebuilt some gears that we buggered-up last year. The whole power train, engine, driveline and suspension is pretty much the same as last year.” Rocky Mountain Speedway celebrated its grand re-opening in 2024 after sitting dormant for 20-years. Dwight Kennedy drove the Northern Provincial Pipelines #81 Dodge to several season championships at this facility in the 1990’s. Northern Provincial Pipelines is the 2025 season opening weekend sponsor at Rocky Mountain Speedway.
