ROAD TRIP SURPRISE
ROSEBURG, OR – Looking at a favorable long holiday weekend weather forecast, Team NPP’s Lane Zerbin and his father Ted loaded up the #81 Modified and headed south. After a 9-hour drive they arrived in Roseburg, Oregon and the Douglas County Dirtrack for some Friday night racing. This was Zerbin’s debut at the southern Oregon speedway and the 10th different facility he’s competed at. The Victoria, British Columbia driver kicked off the night in Oregon with a Heat race victory. Zerbin started 7th in the Feature and finished 4th. This was Zerbin’s best ever track debut since his 5th place finish at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington back in June of 2015. Zerbin is celebrating his 10th season behind the wheel of the Northern Provincial Pipelines/C-Force Marine #81 IMCA Modified. Team NPP competes at Grays Harbor Raceway on Saturday evening. Zerbin made his official IMCA Modified debut at the Elma, Washington track back on May 9, 2015. Hotlaps at Grays Harbor Raceway is at 5:00pm with racing starting at 6:00pm.
UPDATE: (June 29th at 4:25pm PST) – With a major weather system moving into the region, Grays Harbor Raceway officials have canceled race action for Saturday evening. Team NPP is putting the race car into the trailer and will be heading home to Victoria, British Columbia.
