STONY PLAIN, AB – The Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series pace car was on duty Sunday afternoon as the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club kicked off its 2010 ice race season. This mid-January race was Alberta’s first motorsports event of the new year.

The NPP Late Model Series congratulates all NASCC teams on their successful season opening race. The Northern Alberta Sports Car Club is celebrating its’ 53rd anniversary in 2010, making it one of the oldest motorsports organizations in the province.

The Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series celebrates its 10th season of racing in 2010. January 12th was the halfway point of the ‘off-season’. The season opener is May 8th at Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway.
