NPP ON THE WWW
EDMONTON, AB. – The official website of the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series reaches a major milestone this week. “Leading up to the Oilmens race, the NPP Series website will be recording its 100,000th visitor.” NPP Series announcer Gord Craig indicates visits to the website continue on an upward trend. “The website has seen amazing growth since its official launch back in May of 2007. We saw visits increase by over 100% from launch to the end of 2008. Visits increased by over 50% between 2008 and 2009. Despite several rainouts and race cancellations, visits to the website are up just over 10% this year.” Craig says posting information like race results and current points after race events is key. “No one should have to wait several days for race results to be posted. A website is a major information tool. It should always be current and relevant.” The NPP Late Model Series has big plans in store for the website in the 2011 season. “It’s the 10th anniversary of the NPP Series next season. The plan right now is to broadcast several live video events on-line. The technology is available and its time we utilized it.” The next scheduled event of the NPP Late Model Series is the 17th annual Oilmens Classic event at Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway on Friday and Saturday May 20th and 21st. The NPP Series is joined by the Alberta Sportsman Sprint Tour and their running of the 2010 Xtreme Cup.
