GREEN GETS THE GREEN FOR NASHVILLE
LEBANON, TN – NASCAR veteran Jeff Green will pilot the McDonald Motorsports/Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd. #81 Dodge at the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Nashville Superspeedway this weekend. The 2000 Season Champion (runner-up in 1999, 2001) got the call earlier this week from MacDonald Motorsports. Green has 16 career wins in the Nationwide Series (formally Busch) and last drove to victory lane in 2002. Green, who is without a ride in 2009, has one Nationwide Series start this season where he finished 27th (started 40th) at the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Canada’s DJ Kennington, who normally campaigns the familiar red and white Dodge, returns to the driver’s seat in Phoenix next weekend.

UPDATE: Jeff Green drove the McDonald Motorsports/Northern Provincial Pipelines #81 Dodge toa 21st place finish in the Pepsi 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race at Nashville Super Speedway on Saturday. Joey Logano was the race winner.
