FOR ALL TO SEE

EDMONTON, AB – Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series race teams have almost completed the first month of the extremely long off-season. “No snow on the ground yet but we all know it’s just around the corner,” sighs NPP Series announcer Gord Craig, “the good news is in less than twelve weeks we’ll be flipping the calendar to 2015 and begin counting down to a brand new season.”

NO HIBERNATION FOR THE NPP SERIES DURING THE LONG OFF-SEASON

Calgary, Alberta’s Mark Miller won his first ever championship in dramatic style at Central Alberta Raceways the end of September. Edson, Alberta’s Dwight Kennedy finished second in the 2014 NPP Series Championship points chase. Defending and two-time NPP Series Champion Kevin Wheeler from Whitecourt, Alberta grabbed third. The top finishing rookie driver from the 2014 season was Devon, Alberta’s Jay Carr. “To celebrate our just completed season, we’ve once again printed off a special decal for the NPP Series official pace car.” The decal features the top-three finishers in the points chase for the 2014 season plus the NPP Series Rookie of the Year.

“This special decal has been on the back window of the pace car for a few weeks now,” admits Craig, “this is just one of the ways we acknowledge our podium finishers plus our top rookie.” The official website of the NPP Late Model Series will soon have the 2014 Champions page added to its growing on-line content. “All of our champions and top drivers, dating back to our very first season [2001], are listed on our website for everyone to see. There aren’t too many racing Series in Western Canada that pay tribute to its past and present drivers the way we do.”
