VICTORIA, BC – Last year Lane Zerbin didn’t start his race season until the first weekend of June. This year Zerbin hopes to compete in two Modified events before the month of May even begins.  “The car is ready to go.  If the weather co-operates we will hit up Skagit (April 20th) and then go to Elma the following week (April 27th).”  This will be Zerbins fifth consecutive season behind the wheel of his Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd./C-Force Marine #81 Modified.  “Where has the time gone?  It’s kind of shocking to think about it.”  The Victoria, British Columbia driver has recorded 5 Feature wins in just 30 starts.  Zerbin had only 7 starts in 2018.  He made the most of his limited schedule registering two seconds and a Feature win at Washington’s Grays Harbor Raceway.

“I’d love to score a half dozen wins this year,” exclaims Zerbin, “the plan is to go at it full-tilt in 2019 by trying to run 15 to 20 races.”  Zerbin also plans on returning to the track where he recorded his first-ever Feature event win on July 3, 2016.  “Right now we are going to run a few events down in Oregon including Willamette Speedway (Lebanon, Oregon).”  Ted Zerbin, owner of Alien Race Cars in Victoria, BC, will perform crew chief duties at all 2019 races.  “We don’t have a schedule set in stone but we are going to race as much as we can this year.”  Team NPP will be at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington on April 20th which will be the first of many trips south of the border in 2019 for Zerbin and his #81 Modified.
