CRAIG SURVIVES CRUNCH

BATTLEFORD, SK – Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series announcer Gord Craig is resting comfortably at home after a scary crash in Saskatchewan late Wednesday night. Just shortly after 11pm Craig drove the NPP Series Pace Car into a herd of more than 25 Black Angus cattle which had wandered onto Highway 16 west of Battleford. Craig suffered some bumps and bruises in the crash. Several of the cattle were seriously injured in the collision. At least one of the injured cattle had to be put down. RCMP say Craig is extremely fortunate that he was not more seriously hurt in the collision.

NPP PACE CAR HIT WALL OF COWS IN SASKATCHEWAN

The herd Black Angus Cattle was seen wandering in the ditch and median when emergency crews arrived on scene. No other vehicles struck the wayward cattle. Craig was returning to Alberta after attending the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is expected to be behind the microphone for the NPP Late Model Series race at Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway on Friday and Saturday night.
