3-TIME NPP CHAMP TO COMPETE SATURDAY NIGHT
EDMONTON, AB – One of the most dominating drivers in NPP Series history returns to Castrol Raceway this Saturday night. Leduc, Alberta’s Trevor Emond will climb behind the wheel of the #5 NPP Late Model Stock Car normally driven by Kevin Clark. Clark contacted Emond last week to see if he was available. “I took a chance and asked Trevor if he would like to have some fun behind the wheel again and maybe win a race before the season concluded. I’m pretty pleased he said yes.” Clark will still be at the racetrack Saturday night but not in a driving role. “I’m helping my daughter (Danielle) race in the Bud Super Stock class,” adds Clark, “I’m going to be her crew chief for the night.” Clark currently sits third in the point standings heading into race action this Saturday night. “Hope I can help him out,” grins Emond, “he can’t get the championship but stealing second place away from Dwight is still possible.” Clark sits just 97 points behind Dwight Kennedy with two races to go in the 2007 season. During his five seasons with the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series Emond won the championship three years in a row in 2003, 2004, 2005.
