SEASON PREVIEW: #12 JEFF GRUNDBERG
WHITECOURT, AB – Interests away from the racetrack are forcing Jeff Grundberg to temporarily hang up the helmet for 2007. “The Grundberg name will still be at the track,” indicates the Whitecourt, Alberta driver, “my brother Paul, who helped out on my crew last season, will be driving the #12 car this year.” Jeff Grundberg was one of the winningest drivers in the NPP Series last year when it came to heat race victories. “I didn’t win a Feature last year, came close a few times but those Heat race wins were a bonus.” Grundberg scored 8 heat race victories in 2007 and finished the season ninth in the standings. Ironically Grundberg won the exact same number of heat victories that last years NPP Series champion (Dwight Kennedy) had. “Wonder where I would have finished if I had grabbed at least 1 feature win and a few more top fives?” Jeff Grundberg won’t be abandoning the motorsport scene all together. “I hope help out my brother at some of the events this season. It will be a different perspective though.”
