MODIFIED SCHEDULE
ELMA, WA (July 5) - Lane Zerbin competes in only his second race of the 2018 season this weekend. The Victoria, British Columbia driver debuts a brand new Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd./Alien Race Cars #81 Modified at Grays Harbor Raceway on Saturday night. Normally having competed in five or six races by now, Zerbin has been noticeably absent from the racing scene this year. "We sold the Modified back in the spring and had some delays building the new car." Lanes father Ted owns Alien Race Cars in Victoria, British Columbia. "Working on customers cars obviously takes priority." Ironically it was an Alien Race Cars customer that allowed Zerbin to get his first start of the year back in June. "Graham Cooke let me take his car to Elma last month. We had an alright run it it."

Zerbin finished 3rd in this 'borrowed' race car on June 2nd. The C-Force Marine/Alien Race Cars #75 Modified is a clone to Zerbins new car. "Our goal (Saturday night) is a top five," exclaims Zerbin, "obviously a win would even be better with the brand new car." Zerbin recorded two Feature wins and six top-5 finishes at Grays Harbor Raceway in 2017. "Its easily my favourite track. Nice and wide with multiple lanes. If there is nothing at the bottom you can run at the top and vice versa." Zerbins early season absence from the race track will be made up in the month of July. "We'll be back in Elma on July 21st to prepare for the Modified Nationals on the 27th and 28th."
